Seuss Inspirational sites:
eSeuss - the best
online Seuss site since SeussNavy.com went offline.
SeussVille (at Random
House) - the book publisher.
Seuss.org - another Seuss site
Places to purchase Dr. Seuss Accessories:
eBay
- what I can I say, if it exists, they buy and sell it at eBay. In case you
aren't familiar with eBay, it is a HUGE online auction. The key to getting nice
things for your baby/child's room is to be patient; if there is an item for
auction, there will surely be more just like it - if there is only one of them
(or maybe very few), it will probably sell for more than you are willing to
spend on a baby room item. Don't overbid! I tried to stay in the $5-$15 range
(plus shipping). There were a few items that I spent more on. For example, there
was a "Cat in the Hat" cookie jar I paid $30 for. And some of the
larger, less common "Cat in the Hat" stuffed animals were in the
$20-$30 range, and the night lights were $20 each. I always try to find items
that are not in their boxes (since boxed items usually sell for much more), or
with slight damage (small tears, or light wear). Be sure to search for common
misspellings of words (like Suess) and search for things like "cat in the
hat". Some of the best bargains I got were when the seller misspelled the
subject or left out the word "Seuss". This is also a great place to
get all of your Dr. Seuss books (if you haven't gotten them already) - you can
usually get them for just a couple bucks each (if you don't mind them a little
pre-loved).
FunToCollect.com
- lots of Seuss stuff here!
I'd start here first.
The
Seuss Store - this guy has a lot of other sites consolidated on his site.
Universal
Studios Islands of Adventure "Seuss
Landing" in Orlando Florida. This place has some serious merchandise. From
pencil erasers and stuffed toys, to children's sleepwear and earrings. Of course
you have to go into the park to buy the stuff - but hey, you probably need a
vacation anyway, right?
Hallmark
- some of the bigger "Gold Crown" stores carried a few Dr. Seuss items.
These are mainly "collectable" type items, and are $10-$30 each.
Baby
Heirlooms - this place has a lot of nice Seuss
things, and a few other accessories.
Tickles
- a few nice little things
(Please note, I'm not getting any click-through cash for these… just trying
to help)
If there is any other information you think I should put here,
let
me know.
